When getting your babies nursery together you want to make sure that there are a few “must haves” that are in place. First and foremost you want to make sure that you are creative a perfectly safe place for your little one, as any parent would.

With that in mind, you want to make sure that everything from the furniture to the décor is safe and is feasible for a nursery. Here are a few pointers that you want to keep in mind when putting together your child’s nursery.

Cleanliness
While this is obvious, you want to make sure that you are always making sure that the room is clean. Small infants and toddlers  will touch anything in sight without knowing whether or not they should touch it is good, so staying ahead and making sure that the room is maintained well kept and clean is going to be key.

Additionally, you want to make sure that you are staying on top of the air vents in the child’s room to make sure that it is cleaned when it is supposed to in order to avoid any issues.

Furniture
The furniture that you choose for your newborn baby is going to be important as well and the crib will be the most important of all. Making sure that you are purchasing a crib that meets current government safety standards of no more than 2 3/8 inches apart is huge because you do not want to cause any accidents. You also want to make sure that any cords (from blinds) are not hanging around your child’s reach.

Making a fun room that is safe for your child will be very important, so be sure that you are writing a list of the things that you may want to do before your newborns arrival. While some of these items will not immediately impact your child as a newborn, you definitely want to make sure you are dotting your eyes and crossing your “T’s” to make sure that you have everything in place as your child grows.
